mPassport Seva

Passport Seva Project, being carried out by PSP Division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, is aimed at providing all passport-related services to Indian Citizens in a swift efficient, simple and transparent way.

Under its National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), one of India’s major projects involving Tata Consultancy Services as its private partner as a mode of Public Private Partnership.

The project is currently in operation and is serving the citizens of India through the 93 Passport Seva Kendras, and 412 Post Seva Kendras for Passports at the Office across India.

MEA in an effort to offer mobile-enablement for government services has introduced an mobile Application called mPassport Seva which will provide many features to smartphone users, including Passport app status monitoring, the location of an application for the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) and general information about the various procedures involved in getting the Passport.
